This factor has created a space and situation in which Middle Eastern countries have sought to strengthen themselves and form regional coalitions. By establishing new regional friendships and alliances, they have created two new opposing orders. The victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran led to the formation of the uncompromising “Resistance Axis” discourse in the West Asian region against the Western-oriented order led by Saudi Arabia, whose main characteristic is the struggle against the Zionist regime and the rejection of the hegemonic position of the United States in the world and in the West Asian region. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this study seeks to answer the question of which countries and movements constitute the resistance-oriented regional order led by the Islamic Republic of Iran and what characteristics it possesses. It also examines which capacities and challenges this order creates for the national interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The findings of the study indicate that the formation of the Resistance Axis has been a firm step toward expanding the regional influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran and weakening the hegemonic position of the United States, although it has also entailed challenges such as the formation of a broad coalition against this axis and extensive sanctions. The data collection method is documentary and library-based. نظم منطقه‌ای غرب آسیا به طور مداوم تمایل ذاتی به تنش و حتی بحران را نشان داده است. این عامل منجر به ایجاد فضا و موقعیتی شده که کشورهای خاورمیانه اقدام به تقویت خود و تشکیل ائتلاف‌های منطقه‌ای نمایند. آنها با ایجاد دوستی‌ها و اتحادهای منطقه‌ای جدید دو نظم جدید متضاد را ایجاد نموده‌اند. پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی ایران منجر به شکل‌گیری گفتمان سازش‌ناپذیرِ «مقاومت محور» در منطقه‌ی غرب آسیا در مقابل نظم غرب‌گرا با رهبری عربستان سعودی گردید که اصلی‌ترین مشخصه‌ی آن مبارزه با رژیم صهیونیستی و عدم پذیرش موقعیت هژمونیک آمریکا در جهان و منطقه‌ی غرب آسیا می‌باشد. پژوهش با استفاده از رویکردی توصیفی -تحلیل به دنبال پاسخ به این سوال است که نظم منطقه‌ای مقاومت محور با رهبری جمهوری اسلامی ایران متشکل از چه کشورها و جنبش‌های می‌باشد و چه ویژگی‌های دارد؟ این نظم کدام ظرفیت‌ها و چالش‌ها را متوجه منافع ملی جمهوری اسلامی ایران می‌نماید؟ یافته‎های پژوهش حکایت از این دارد که تشکیل محور مقاومت گامی مستحکم در جهت نفوذ منطقه‌ای جمهوری اسلامی ایران و تضعیف جایگاه هژمونیک آمریکا بوده است و البته چالش‌های چون ائتلاف گسترده بر علیه این محور و تحریم‌های گسترده را نیز به دنبال داشته است. روش گردآوری اطلاعات اسنادی-کتابخانه‌ای می‌باشد.
